Resin

Trapping yarns in a casting resin, using the a Philadelphia Cheese carton as a mould.
500g resin base with 1ml resin catalyst.

Results: I wrapped the cast in cling-film to transport it to uni, however it mustn't have been fully set when I did this because the texture of the cling-film imprinted onto the surface quite badly. Although creating an interesting effect, this is not the appearance I wanted to achieve (a high gloss, smooth surface). Although I like the effect of the yarns trapped in the resins I prefer the gelatinous texture of the jellies - I feel there is still movement and a slightly more tactile quality to them.
