Recent developments have included the use of threads as a way to translate the linear qualities from my drawings. Using threads dipped in remazol dyes i have been able to produce a range of chance-inspired ‘drawings’ and prints. Embracing the uncontrolled movement of the threads has created a new sense of freedom. These thread drawings also relate back to my initial attempts at suspending yarn in ice and gelatine. I would like to develop these notions into a more concise project where I somehow have trap intentional linear drawings, lines, or marks between layers of varying transparencies.
